ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଭାଷା ଭାରତର ପ୍ରାଚୀନ ଭାଷା — ଜ୍ଞାନପୀଠରେ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଶିଳାଲେଖ ମିଳିଛି। ଓଡ଼ିଆ ସାହିତ୍ୟ ୧୫୦୦ ବର୍ଷର ଧନି ପରମ୍ପରା।Odia is one of India’s most ancient languages — inscriptions in Odia have been found at Gyanpeeth. Odia literature carries a rich 1500-year tradition.

ଭକ୍ତି ଯୁଗ (୧୪୫୦-୧୬୫୦)Bhakti Period (1450-1650)
ସାରଳା ଦାସ: “ଆଦି କବି” — ଓଡ଼ିଆ ମହାଭାରତ, ବିଳଙ୍କା ରାମାୟଣ ରଚନା।
ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ଦାସ: “ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଭାଗବତ” — ଓଡ଼ିଆ ସାହିତ୍ୟର ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ କୃତି।
ବଳରାମ ଦାସ: “ଲକ୍ଷ୍ମୀ ପୁରାଣ” ଓ “ଜଗମୋହନ ରାମାୟଣ”।
ଅଚ୍ୟୁତାନନ୍ଦ ଦାସ: “ଶିଶୁ ଭାଗବତ” — ଓଡ଼ିଆ ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଥମ ପାଠ।Sarala Das: The “Adi Kabi” (First Poet) — composed the Odia Mahabharata and Bilanka Ramayana.
Jagannath Das: Wrote the “Odia Bhagabat” — the greatest work of Odia literature.
Balaram Das: Authored the “Laxmi Purana” and “Jagamohan Ramayana.”
Achyutananda Das: Created “Shishu Bhagabat” — the first primer for Odia children.
ରୀତି ଯୁଗ (୧୬୫୦-୧୮୫୦)Riti Period (1650-1850)
ଉପେନ୍ଦ୍ର ଭଞ୍ଜ: “ବୈଦେହୀ ବିଳାସ” — ଓଡ଼ିଆ କାବ୍ୟର ସାହିତ୍ୟର ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ।
ଗୋପାଳ କୃଷ୍ଣ: ବ୍ରଜନାଥ ନାଟକ, ବାଉଁଶ କବି।Upendra Bhanja: Wrote “Baidehi Bilasa” — the pinnacle of Odia court poetry.
Gopal Krishna: Known for Brajanatha Nataka, called the Bamboo Poet.
ଆଧୁନିକ ଯୁଗModern Period
ଫକୀର ମୋହନ୍ତି ସେନାପତି: “ଚମ୍ପା” — ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଆଧୁନିକ ସାହିତ୍ୟର ପିତାମା।
ଗୋପାଳ ରଥ: “ମାଟି ମଣିଷ” — ଜ୍ଞାନପୀଠ ପୁରସ୍କାର।
ସଚ୍ଚି ରାଉତରାୟ: ଓଡ଼ିଆ କବିତା, ବିଦ୍ରୋହୀ ସାହିତ୍ୟ।Fakir Mohan Senapati: Wrote “Champa” — considered the father of modern Odia literature.
Gopal Rath: Authored “Mati Manisha” — won the Jnanpith Award.
Sachi Routray: Renowned for Odia poetry and rebellious literature.
