ପୁରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ପ୍ରତିଦିନ ବିଶ୍ୱର ସବୁଠାରୁ ବଡ଼ ରୋଷଘର ଚାଲେ। ପ୍ରାୟ ୧,୦୦୦ ରୋସାୟମାନେ ୫୬ ପ୍ରକାର ଭୋଗ ତିଆରି କରନ୍ତି। ଏହି ଭୋଗକୁ “ମହାପ୍ରସାଦ” କୁହାଯାଏ। ଜଗନ୍ନାଥଙ୍କ ମହାପ୍ରସାଦ କେବଳ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ — ଏହା ଭକ୍ତି, ଶ୍ରଦ୍ଧା ଓ ଆଧ୍ୟାତ୍ମିକତାର ପ୍ରତୀକ।The Sri Jagannath Temple in Puri houses the world’s largest kitchen. About 1,000 cooks prepare 56 varieties of food offerings daily, called Mahaprasad. This sacred food is not just sustenance — it is a symbol of devotion, faith, and spirituality.

ମହାପ୍ରସାଦରେ ମୁଖ୍ୟତଃ ତିନି ପ୍ରକାର ଭୋଗ ଅଛି:
ସୁକ୍ଷ୍ମ ଭୋଗ: ଖଜୁର, ଗୁଡ଼, ନଡ଼ିଆ, କଦଳୀ, ଦହି, ଛେନା
ନିଷ୍କା ଭୋଗ: ପିଠା, ଖଜା, ଲଡୁ, ଜଲେବି, ମାଲପୁଆ
ସାକାଳ ଧୂପ ଓ ଭୋଗ: ଭାତ, ଡାଲି, ଭଜା, ମିକ୍ସଚୁର
ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଭୋଗମାନେ ହେଲେ: ପୁରୀର ବିଖ୍ୟାତ ଅନ୍ନ, ଦହି ମୁଗ, ବିରି ଡାଲମା, କାକରା ପୁଆ, ଖଜା, ଲଡୁ, ଜଲେବି, ମାଲପୁଆ ଓ ପଣା।Mahaprasad has three main categories:
Sukshma Bhog: Dry fruits, jaggery, coconut, banana, curd, chhena
Nisanka Bhog: Pitha, khaja, laddu, jalebi, malpua
Sakala Dhupa: Rice, dal, fried items, mixed vegetables
Famous items include Puri’s signature anna, dahi muga, biri dalma, kakara pua, and pana.

ମହାପ୍ରସାଦ ତିଆରି କରନ୍ତି ତିନି ପ୍ରକାର ସେବକ — ସୁଆର ମେକାପ, ପରିଚା ଓ ବନ୍ଧୁ ମହାପାତ୍ର। ଏମାନେ ପିଢ଼ି ପରମ୍ପରାରୁ ଏହି କାମ କରନ୍ତି ଆସୁଛନ୍ତି। ରୋସାୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଥମେ ସ୍ନାନ କରାଯାଏ, ନୂଆ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ପିନ୍ଧାଯାଏ। ରାନ୍ଧଣା ସମୟରେ କୌଣସି ଆଡ଼ମ୍ବର ବାକ୍ୟ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରିବା ନିଷେଧ।Three categories of sevaks prepare Mahaprasad — Supakar Mekap, Paricha, and Bandhu Mahapatra. They follow hereditary traditions passed down through generations. Cooks must bathe and wear fresh clothes before cooking. No foul language is allowed during preparation.

- କେବଳ ମହାପ୍ରସାଦ ଅନ୍ନ ଓ ଦହି ମିଶାଯାଏ — ଅନ୍ୟ କୌଣସି ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ଏହା ହୁଏ ନାହିଁOnly temple in the world where rice and curd are mixed in offerings
- ଜାତି, ଧର୍ମ, ବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବିବେଚନା ନାହିଁ — ସମସ୍ତେ ଏକ ସାରିରେ ବସି ମହାପ୍ରସାଦ ଖାଆନ୍ତିNo caste, creed, or religion discrimination — all eat together
- ଅଗ୍ନି ବିନା ମଧ୍ୟ ଭୋଗ ତିଆରି ହୁଏ — କେବଳ ଜଙ୍ଗଲର କାଠରେCooked with firewood only, in earthen pots
- ମହାପ୍ରସାଦ କଦାପି ଫେରାଇ ଦିଆଯାଏ ନାହିଁ — ଏହା ପାପ ବୋଲି ବିବେଚିତ ହୁଏNever returned or wasted — considered a sin
